Thermal calculation of electric machines with symmetric cooling.

Abstract

The calculation of steady-state temperatures in the rotor and stator of an electric machine with radial cooling and uniformly distributed thermal conductivities along the axis of the machine and in the transverse direction of the package is considered. A thermal circuit is found that connects thermal resistances to only unit-specific volumes of steel and copper in the groove and frontal winding parts. The change in copper losses from its unequal heating in different parts of the machine is taken into account by the introduction of negative thermal resistances. From the circuit, you can get the resulting thermal resistance of the rotor or stator, which characterizes the degree of cooling of the machine. Figures 2. Bibliographic references 2.
