Abstract

A method for calculating the magnetic field in the air gap of electric machines with regard to its irregularity, based on solving the basic equations of electrodynamics using the vector potential of the field as applied to boundary problems for the air gap region, is presented. Finding the distribution of the induction of the magnetic field in the gap is made using the coefficients of the part of the stator and rotor, determined from the solution of a system of linear algebraic equations with known ratios of the dentate zone. The amplitude curves of a series of induction harmonics are given for various geometrical parameters of the air gap region of a three-phase asynchronous machine. A numerical example is given for the calculation of the field in the gap of an induction motor according to the proposed method. Tab. 1, ill. 4, bibl. 5.
