Regulation depth and self-saturation in a non-distorting magnetic amplifier.
Abstract
The principle of the non-distorting operation of a magnetic amplifier with a parabolic magnetization curve is briefly described. It is noted that such amplifiers have a small depth of regulation and a relatively large power gain, which can be increased by introducing feedback and partial use of non-parabolic sections of the magnetization curve at the beginning and at the end of the regulation range. A harmonic analysis of the operating current outside the parabolic part of the magnetization curve is given. The possibility of non-distorting work in the presence of internal feedback is shown.
