Calculation of the optimal resistance of the rotor circuit of an induction motor with two-zone control of its torque.

Abstract

The change in power losses in an asynchronous motor and the electric drive as a whole is investigated when the electromagnetic torque is controlled by the voltage on the stator and the resistance in the rotor circuit. A method of calculating the optimal according to two criteria of resistance of the rotor circuit when adjusting the motor torque with voltage is proposed, zones in which it is advisable to adjust the motor torque by varying the voltage or the resistance in the rotor circuit are recommended.
