Efficiency of asynchronous motors in intermittent modes of operation.

Abstract

A method for improving energy performance and reducing the material consumption of closed-loop closed-type asynchronous motors when operating in intermittent modes is considered, which is achieved by reducing the active part of the machine and lowering the supply voltage during periods of idling. Obtained generalized data of increasing power factor and efficiency in engines under the specified conditions.
