Synthesis of the design parameters of the mechanism with a closed kinematic chain providing statistical stability

Abstract

Complex kinematic singularities inside the workspace of parallel mechanisms, where mechanism loses static stability, require careful kinematic design of these mechanisms. This paper presents a kinematic parameters’ design method based on stiffness analyze for the 2-DOF parallel mechanism in the sense obtaining static stability reserve.
