Abstract

A method is proposed for calculating the temperature distribution curve of a winding of an electric machine with an axial ventilation system when applying the principle of superposition, taking into account the thermal conductivity of the winding material. Calculated formulas for windings in the form of a rod and for the stator winding of an integrated asynchronous motor of a refrigeration compressor are derived. It is shown that the calculations on the principle of superposition without taking into account correction factors that depend on the length of the winding and the conditions of heat exchange with the environment can lead to significant errors in determining the maximum and minimum temperatures.
