Simulation of the wave process in the power transformer.

Abstract

A scheme for the first time developed and manufactured installation for modeling a wave field in the insulation of a power transformer is described. An analysis of the errors in the simulation on electrically conductive paper is given, methods of improved modeling accuracy are shown, and an example of the intensity study for four winding variants is given. It is also shown that a transformer, its model, or an analog combing machine can serve as a source of overvoltage. Improving the accuracy of modeling is achieved by reducing the frequency of self-oscillations of a transformer by connecting additional capacitors to it.
