Abstract

A method for determining the parameters of the reactor and reactor-capacitor start-up devices is presented, and the results of calculations of the start-up processes through such devices of the engine of the floating vane propulsion engine from an autonomous generator are given. The calculations were performed on a digital computer taking into account the real electromagnetic state of an explicit pole synchronous generator and engine saturation with the main magnetic flux, which made it possible to increase the reliability of the results compared to the results obtained using traditional calculation methods that do not take into account machine saturation or take it very closely into account.
