Motor utilization factor in electric drives with thyristor converters

Abstract

The results of an analytical calculation of motor utilization factor values in thyristor DC drives without a shunt diode are presented. A formula is proposed for determining the required load parameters to ensure a given Ri. A comparison is made of utilization factors in shunt diode circuits and without a shunt diode with separate and consistent control.
